We have had the same hot tub since 1993. A couple days ago, we noticed some water around the tub. Today, I found the problem. It appears to be a seal inside the water pump. There is a small pump that circulates water all the time and the main pump is only used when we want bubbles in the tub.
I will have to pull out the pump and try to repair the seal.
